Do you remember where you were when the infamous ‘wardrobe malfunction’ occurred? Nah, neither do I. But I sure do remember it was the pasty seen round the world. It may have actually been the first time I truly understood what a pasty actually entailed. Clearly it was a big, life-defining moment. To be honest, and honesty is key in any good blogger/bloggee(?) relationship, I’m not a huge lover of football. *GASP*, or for those who know me “duh”. But I bet you wouldn’t be surprised to hear that I will happily pretend to be semi-interested in most games if you provide me with something delicious. I’ve personally never thrown a Superbowl (am I even allowed to call it that, or will I get sued? I don’t think it will be a problem, but just to be safe, let’s now refer to it as the SportsballBowl™ – because that’s catchy and it won’t get me in trouble) party. But I have attended a few and even if the star shining brightest seems to be the big game, the unsung hero of the day is surely the array of tasty treats. Crunchy, gooey, salty, deep-fried, chocolately and cheese covered – this is a day for indulgence, my friends.
What are you making/bringing/buying this year? Let me know in the comments – I love living vicariously through other people’s menus. If you need a little inspiration, I’ve compiled my current dream team of SportsballBowl™ foods for Sunday. Check them out, make some, make them all. Also bring me your leftovers. I will be on the one sitting on the couch eating her 20th wing while pretending to know what ‘downs’ are and waiting anxiously to see if JT is doomed to repeat halftime show history.
A SportsballBowl™ Recipe Roundup

Pok Pok’s Vietnamese Style Chicken Wings – Forget about what I said earlier.
Molly Yeh’s Pretzel Challah Bagel Dogs – COME ON!
Jenny Rosenstrach’s Minty Pea Dip – I love this stuff. It’s great with chips, a sliced baguette or veggies.

Queso by the Homesick Texan – A classic, but without the processed cheese food.
Ree Drummond’s Roasted Corn Dip – The Pioneer Woman knows an indulgent dip for sure.
Sheet Pan Nachos from Damn Delicious – Nachos on a sheet pan are a game changer – no more sad chips at the bottom with no toppings!
All the GUAC from Serious Eats – A guacamole for every season.
I Am A Food Blog’s Jalapeno Popper Deviled Eggs – Two of my favorite things, together at last.
BBQ Chipotle Meatballs with garlic toast from How Sweet Eats – GARLIC TOAST!!!
Mains
Momofuku’s Bo Ssam – Even if you don’t make the whole bo ssam spread, the pulled pork alone will create some lasting memories. Makes a great taco filling too.
Colorado Chili – This is a bit of a project TBH – but it is THE BEST chili I have personally ever had.
Bon Appetit’s guide to Homemade Cheesesteaks – It would be sacrilege not to, right?
Food52’s Fried Cauliflower Sandwich – This could turn you vegetarian – fair warning.
Food52’s Barbeque Shrimp – These are worth making even if you’re eating alone – I’ve done it, don’t judge.
Desserts
Joy the Baker’s Saltine Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches – I imagine these are like sugary sweet crack. Someone make them so I can test my theory.
Alison Roman’s Salted CC Shortbread – I’m bringing these little internet darlings to M & K’s on Sunday!
Ovenly’s Salted PB Cookies – These are magical, and also gluten free.
Brown Eyed Baker’s Chocolate Sheet Cake with Milk Chocolate Frosting – No one hates cake.
Ok, that’s an exhaustive list. Enjoy, have fun and be safe!
